 2020 Chili & Soup Cook-off and Dessert Bake-off
Saturday, March 21, 2020. 12 pm - 3 pm. Horse Power Healing Center is excited to announce the 4th Annual chili & soup cook-off and dessert bake-off competition. 1st-3rd placings for Best Chili, Soup and Dessert divisions. Also, 1st -3rd placings for Best Restaurant Chili/Soup. Attendees will be able to purchase a chili spoon and sampler plates which will enable them to sample each of the different entries to determine the winner.  Brownie Badge Workshop - Programming Robots and Designing Robots
Saturday, March 21, 2020. 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm. The Betty Brinn Children's Museum offers many guided programs that help Girl Scouts meet STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art/design and math) badge requirements. Brownie Scouts attending the Brownie Badge workshop will earn 2 Robotics badges by designing and building their own robots. Participants will receive a Betty Brinn Children's Museum patch and certificate. Museum admission is not included in workshop fee.  It's Like Poetry: Building A Toshiko Takaezu Archive at RAM
Friday, August 2, 2019 through Sunday, July 26, 2020. While unassuming in her disposition, artist Toshiko Takaezu (1922-2011) was a bona fide ceramic superstar who pushed the boundaries of clay in the late twentieth century. Inspired by nature and the environment, Takaezu created work that embodied a poetic balance between art and life. This exhibition in Racine Art Museum's Windows on Fifth Gallery features a selection from the more than 30 Takaezu works now in the museum's collection.  Third Annual Twin Triathlon
Saturday, August 26, 2017 through Tuesday, August 26, 2081. 8 am - 12 pm. 8 am registration; 9 am start; Noon Awards! Fun event is unique in the Northwoods-8K paddle on North Twin Lake, followed by a 16K bike ride, then a 5K run. Individual ($35), a family or a team ($90). Do one leg, or all three!
